The Union Hotel

Tasked with an urban redesign of the Union Station/Senate Park area of D.C., the Union Hotel was designed in order to link the two differing fabrics of large commercial buildings to the West and townhouse residence to the East.

The hotel relates to Union Station with its monumental towers and Art Deco masonry, creating another strong landmark for the neighbor-hood. The Southeastern facade rooms feature views of Capitol Hill and the Senate Park.

The panels on the rotunda highlight various natural regions of the US, welcoming travelers from all corners of the Country to the Nation’s capital.
